The RADIUS framework

RADIUS turns “is this a good partner?” into six questions that can actually be answered: Reach, Amplification, Discovery, Implementation, Utilization, and Scale.

The point of six dimensions rather than one score is that partners fail and succeed in specific ways. A single blended number averages away exactly the detail that tells you what to do next.

Explore the six dimensions

Hover any wedge to see what it measures, and pick a partner type to see how the framework adapts to it.

RADIUS
R

Reach

Access to net-new qualified buyers

How many new buyers, or how much new audience, a partner can put you in front of, and through what mechanism.

What each dimension measures

R

Reach

Access to net-new qualified buyers

How many buyers a partner can put you in front of who you would not otherwise reach, and through what mechanism. The mechanism matters as much as the number: an audience a partner can email is worth more than one they merely have.

A

Amplification

Expanding your presence wide and deep

Once you are in front of that audience, how much the partner multiplies your presence and represents you accurately. A partner with modest reach who positions you well can outperform a larger one who mentions you in passing.

D

Discovery

The partner's intelligence advantage

The market and buyer intelligence a partner has that you cannot get from outside, and crucially whether they will actually share it. Often the most undervalued dimension, because the benefit is real but hard to put in a revenue column.

I

Implementation

Getting customers live and productive

How reliably a partner gets customers actually deployed and working, including whether they can enable their own downstream channel. This is where a strong-looking relationship most often turns out to be hollow.

U

Utilization

Sustained use that compounds

Whether usage sticks and grows after go-live: repeat purchases, renewals, sell-through that builds rather than plateaus. Distinguishes a partner producing durable revenue from one producing a good first quarter.

S

Scale

Named-account presence and motion capacity

Whether the partner is present in the accounts and markets that matter most to you, and whether they have the capacity to move real volume there. Presence without capacity is a logo, not a channel.

How scoring works

Each dimension is scored 1 to 5. Deliberately coarse. A finer scale invites false precision and slows scoring down, and the goal is to get the whole ecosystem scored consistently rather than a handful of partners scored exactly.

N/A is allowed, and never counted as zero. This matters more than it sounds. Implementation is usually meaningless for an affiliate, and Discovery often is for a marketplace. Scoring those as zero would penalise a partner for being the type it is, which quietly ranks entire partner categories last for no real reason.

Every partner is scored twice. Once for what is proven today, once for the realistic ceiling. The distance between the two is the activation gap, which is what turns a scorecard into a plan.

The weighting is tuned to your business. Reach matters more for a self-serve product than for one with a long enterprise sales cycle. A framework that weighs every dimension identically for every company is a template, not a model.

Score your ecosystem across all six.
